Gloria Maris is one of the best spots in Zakynthos for both food and drinks. The menu has a great mix of traditional Greek dishes and fresh seafood, all cooked to perfection. Everything we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The drinks were just as impressive — from refreshing cocktails to a nice selection of wines, perfect to enjoy with the sea view. The bartender was excellent, really friendly and skilled at making unique cocktails. Between the delicious food, well-crafted drinks, and amazing atmosphere by the water, it’s the ideal place to relax and enjoy a special evening.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The food was simply incredible — every meal felt like it came from a five-star restaurant. From breakfast to dinner, the flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The drinks were equally impressive, with a wide selection of cocktails, wines, and local specialties that were expertly crafted and beautifully presented

The location and the views are amazing. the outside spaces, terraces , pool and beache beds gives a great atmosphere ! the Staff is really kind. To make it to the next level , the common aerea line the hallways and the reception would need a little refresh. The breakfast is also very varied and full of good things. The ratio quality price is for me really good and would recommend this hotel !

Avoid this hotel! Not adults-only, as advertised. Hotel does not check any passports at arrival and they allowed children in. Not 4 stars, as advertised. It is dirty, has broken down restaurant chairs, sunbeds, doors. The bed is a mattress on a block of painted cement. No chairs in the room. They ask for a 10€/night tourist tax, do not give you a receipt for it. Very expensive for what facilities they offer. Food is the same every single day, recycled from days before. Unfriendly staff, they look grumpy and unwelcoming. Housekeeping will walk in on you, even though the do not disturb sign is on and then yell at you that they need to clean. Asked them to give me 5 min to get dressed and leave the room, they said ok and then they did not clean my room that day, after practically kicking me out. This hotel has 3* at best and the pictures on the website must be from when the hotel opened, cause it does not look like that now. There are nicer accomodations nearby. The view is nice though.

★★★★★ – Probably the most spectacular hotel in Zakynthos (except for 1–2 ultra-high-end ones) I stayed at Gloria Maris in a Suite with a sharing pool and, honestly, the experience exceeded all expectations. The view is absolutely breathtaking, right by the sea, with stunning sunsets and rare tranquility. It’s the kind of place where you feel completely disconnected from the world—in the best way. Yes, there are some ongoing renovations, but the vibe remains: elegant, peaceful, and with that “this is exactly where I need to be” feeling. The sea is calm and crystal clear, the beach is small but intimate, and everything is just steps away. Aside from one or two extremely high-end (and much pricier) hotels, I truly believe Gloria Maris is the most spectacular place to stay in Zakynthos. I’d return here without hesitation.
