Such a lovely restaurant, so friendly and lovely food . I’m a really picky eater, and this was absolutely perfect which a wide range of food. They had a band playing music on ukuleles and instruments which made it such a lovely atmosphere. We went off season but it was still so beautiful and right near the front square .

The food and service were spectacular. They have live Greek music and entertainment. We come here every summer! If you want traditional Greek cuisine— this is one of our favourite places to go.

my experience there was extremely unpleasant. The restaurant is called Alektor, located on Zakynthos Island in Greece. Everything seemed fine until we asked for the bill: 1. First, they told us we couldn’t pay by card—only cash because "it’s a workday." But we visited on a Thursday, which isn’t what they claimed. We later saw other customers paying by card at the counter, so they clearly refused to offer us the card option (this is obviously tax evasion). 2. When we checked the bill, we found multiple items we never ordered: ◦ They charged us 7.5 euros for bread dip—from what I know, bread and its accompanying dip are free at all European restaurants. The bread price itself was also incorrect. ◦ Two additional dishes we didn’t order were listed on the bill. When we pointed out the issues with the bill, the waiter insisted we talk in the back room. Once inside, he snatched the bill away and refused to continue the conversation, then rushed us out. We had to leave quickly because we were running late for our flight so we couldn’t argue further. If you want to experience the frustration of being scammed, feel free to visit this restaurant—it will definitely give you an absolutely terrible experience. The scenery in Zakynthos is extremely beautiful, but encountering such fraudulent behaviors by merchants during the trip has made my journey very unpleasant and also cast a huge shadow over Greece's tourism industry.
